Eunice Emmaline Boggan died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston. An Asotin County native, Eunice was born July 3, 1911, to Dwight E. and Minnie B. McNeill Wood in Mountain View, Wash., a community south of Anatone. She grew up and attended schools in Mountain View, Anatone and Clarkston. She married Everett Boggan at Asotin on July 20, 1935. She was a marvelous cook and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. Her mother passed away when she was only 12 years old, and she had to cook and wash for the younger kids in her family until she went to Anatone for high school. She and Everett farmed in Anatone for quite some time. He passed away Aug. 5, 1995. They had no children.
Eunice is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wood; and three sisters, Charlotte Vining, Lois Jacobsen and Helen Wood. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Merchant Funeral Home in Clarkston, with the Rev. Dallas Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston.
