Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 for 85-year-old Edna E. Adams of Farmington, formerly of McBride, who died Tuesday, May 27 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1917 in Coffman, the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Coulter) Helm.

She was married to Burton Joseph Adams. He preceded her in death.

One son and one daughter survive, Francis Adams and Irma Buxton, both of Farmington.

One brother and one sister survive, Charles "Bud" Helm of Doe Run, and Shirley Weiss of Iron Mountain.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Renee Sherrill of Doe Run; Toby Adams of Salem, Ill.; Joseph Buxton of Farmington; and Kenneth Buxton of Farmington.

Five great-grandchildren survive, Katlin and Tiffany Adams, Ryan Sheriff, Erica Sherrill and Joey Buxton.

Three sisters, Louise, Dorothy and Jane, preceded her in death.

She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in St. Mary.

Visitation will be Friday, May 30 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 31 from 6:30-10:15 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake service will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m

Funeral Mass for Edna E. Adams will be held Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary. Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Masses.
