Funeral services for Amanda Ellen Chapman, 94, of Rose Hill were held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, April 13 at the Hiles Funeral Home in Greenup. Rev. Paul McLaughlin was the officiating minister.
Mrs. Chapman passed away at the St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham, about 8:00 a. m. Tuesday, April 11.
Amanda Ellen Chapman was born December 19, 1872, near Hazel Dell, the daughter of Joseph W. and Martha (Cash) Rue.
She is survived by three sons, Clell of Hobbs, N. M., Fred of Chicago and Roy of Rose Hill; one brother, Robert Rue of Casey; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Foltz of Winn, Ark., and Mrs. Kate Sowers of Weiner, Ark.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Hazel Dell Cemetery.
