Garland Monroe Casey, Sr., 86, of East End went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, October 27, 2009 surrounded by his family and loving church members and was reunited with his cherished wife, Freida Lois Lee Casey who passed away in 2002. He was a member of East End Baptist Church and former member of Levy Baptist Church. He was an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force and worked in maintenance for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; a sister and two brothers. He is survived by three children, Catherine Cooley, Garland Monroe Casey, Jr., and Mary Johnson (Richard); special in-laws, Cecil and Virginia Missel and Frankie Rader; his niece, Nettie Ann Knight; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his special dog, Snowball.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Helping Hands for Little Paws, P.O. Box 1551, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday at East End Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
