Lee's 1st name has really never been agreed upon through the family. Some say Leandrus, Leander or Leviticus, since he had given that name to my Great Grandfather. I just list Leonder because that is what was listed on his death cert by my Granddad.

L. E. Nobles Found Dead Wednesday

Failing to arrive home at the usual time Wednesday afternoon, L. E. Nobles was the object of a search which ended when his body was found on two benches drawn together under the funeral shelter insided the cemetery.

Mr. Nobles would have been 58 years old the day following, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Paralee Nobles, three sons and five daughters, one brother and four nephews.

The sons are: T. L., Godley; Hamp, Gilmer; Offie, Godley.

The daughters are: Mrs. JosephineMarsh, Gilmer; Miss Sadie Lee Nobles, Godley; Mrs. Gracie (should be Crocia) McKnight, Gilmer; Miss Agnes Nobles and Mill Lula Nobles, Godley.

The brother is Rev. Z. Z. Nobles of Jewett.

Nephews are: Joe Tullos of Santo, D. F. Nobles of Palestine, Claud Nobles of Palestine and E. E. Nobles of Jewett.

The body was taken to Groesbeck this (Friday) morning for burial. J. W. Crosier & Son had charge of arrangements.

(I don't know the name of the paper this obit was printed in. I only have the clipping, left to me by my Grandma Gertrude Nobles Prater.)

As per my Grandma Gertrude Nobles Prater, his granddaughter, he went to the hardware store to buy a Coke & strict nine. He poured the poison in the Coke & drank it. She said that her Father, T. L. Nobles, kept the Coke bottle for yrs. She also stated that he complained all the time of his bones always aching. So I wonder if he had rheumatoid arthritis & just couldn't take it any longer.
