Iva Mildred Barrett, 82, of Sidney, died May 1, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born 11 April 1920 to Lewis and Frances (Means) Barnes. On March 15, 1936 she married Earl Barrett in Sidney. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Riverton.
Mrs Barrett was preceded in death by her parents, son, James Barrett; sister, Vada Norman; and brothers, Lewis and Larry Barnes.
Survivors include her husband Earl of Sidney; son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Erma Barrett of Sidney; Sisters, Elaine Smith of Torrington, Wyoming and Patsy Hume of Sidney; brothers, Richard Barnes of Dalton, Georgia and Dan Barnes of St. Louis, Missouri; half sisters, Inez Powers of Bend, Oregon; and Evelyn Shryer of Shenandoah; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were May 3 at the Sidney Cemetery with the Reverend Clarence Schaffer officiating. A memorial fund has been established.
