Death yesterday afternoon ended a long illness for Cassius O. Brubaker, 78, native of Iowa and resident of Bellvue since 1918. Born Dec. 9, 1866, at Wapello, Iowa, Mr. Brubaker moved with is parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Brubaker, to Kirkwood, Neb., when he was 14 years old. He married Jessie C. Spragg at Bassett, Neb. in 1894 and in 1907 they came to Colorado, settling first on a farm near Windsor. Eleven years later they moved to Bellvue. Surviving are his widow; three sons, Arthur of Cheyenne, Norman of Bellvue and Paul of Loveland; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Hale of Sheridan, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. Etta Jones of Nevada, Mo.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Rev. C. A. Tatum will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rice funeral home.
