BURLESON, Texas - Grace M. Conn Northcutt, 94, a former longtime resident of Newton, died Friday, Dec. 23, at Burleson, Texas.
Graveside rites will be held at a later date at the Palo Alto Cemetery near Newton.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Arbs) and Cliff Thompson of Brooksville, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Dale L. Toedt of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Baker of Newton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Arbs, in 1964, her second husband, Gerald Northcutt, in 1988 and a son, Bob, in 1992.
Mrs. Northcutt, a longtime Democratic party worker in Newton, had served as a volunteer at Skiff Medical Center.
She was a member of the Newton First Presbyterian Church and attended the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
The daughter of David and Ida Conn, she was born Nov. 6, 1900 and was a 1919 graduate of Newton Community High School.
She was married to Joe Arbs in 1920 and to Gerald Northcutt in 1967.
