Lucina was the daughter of Mary "Polly" Haynes and Bildad Adams. She was their last and eleventh child.
She married Dr. Charles H. Leggett 1 January 1832 at Milan, Erie, Ohio. Five months later, they were crossing the Huron River in a canoe, which sank and they were both drowned.
Some researchers have recorded her name as Susanna, but it is believed that may have been her middle name. Their stone reads, "Charles H. Leggett.........,Lucina, his wife...."
At the time of their deaths, this cemetery was known as Huron Village Cemetery.
