Marjorie A. Bishop, 79, Union Mills, passed away Saturday (Oct. 31, 2009) at her home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Olney, Ill., to Weber J. and Ada C. (Harrison) Bryan. On June 17, 1951, she married Alvin J. "Bish" Bishop, who passed away March 23, 1997.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Nancy (John) Mandeville, of the Lafayette area; her son, Roger (Louise) Bishop, Westerly, R.I.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia Bos.
Marjorie was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Union Mills. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at the Newhard Funeral Home, Westville. Pastor Jim Mandeville will officiate. Burial will be in Union Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of her funeral service Wednesday.
