William M. "Bill" Ford, 77, of Muskogee, OK died Wednesday night at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center.
A native of Harrison, Arkansas, he was born February 14, 1917 to Alex and Evie Ford. He grew up and attended school in Witts Springs, AR. Mr. Ford later moved to Wagoner, OK where he met and married Amanda Armer on March 7, 1938. They had made their home in the Wagoner and Muskogee area for almost 60 years. Mr. Ford owned and operated a furniture store and a real estate company until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his son Charles E. in 1962 and his daughter Doris Jean in 1943.
Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Amanda, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Pat Ford of Muskogee, OK, Jerry and Madeleine Ford of DeSota, TX and Bily and Donna Ford of Broken Arrow, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Steve Sadler and Kay and John Daly;11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Ford of Muskogee, OK and Larry Ford of San Diego, CA; two sisters and brothers-in-law , Ruby and Billy Madewell of Midwest City, OK and Pat and Carl Watts of Azie, TX.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at First Assembly of God Church with Reverand Steve Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, OK.
Pallbearers will be Josh Ford, Scott Kersh, Jason Daly, Mike Macomb, Lonnie Fortney and David Ewbank.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Petering Funeral Home in Muskogee, OK.
