John was born in Gortnaskehy, Cork County, IRE to John Dobbins of Araglin, IRE and Mary (Daly) Dobbins of Ballysaggert, IRE. John died 01-Dec-1906
in a train accident on the B.R.R. and L.R.R. near Commercial Street downtown Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts-USA

John had been employed by Engel & Hodgkins and also at the "Q" and "G" buildings of the General Electric Company.

John's siblings were: Patrick Henry Dobbins, William Dobbins, Thomas W Dobbins, Mary Agnes Dobbins, Julia Dobbins, Honora Francis Dobbins, Margaret Dobbins, Katharine Dobbins and Ellen Agnes (Dobbins).

John came to the United States on 28-MAR-1905 with his sister Honora on the ship "Cymeric" from Queenstown, IRE. They settled in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts with their sister Mary Agnes Dobbins at this time.

John is buried in Saint Josephs Cemetery, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts in an unmarked grave; picture shows a line of trees on each side; Cemetery Employees told me that John was buried somewhere on this strip of land and that is all their records show.
