Henrietta “Etta” May Spencer was the daughter of Thomas Spencer and Henrietta Carter. When she was 6 weeks old she was adopted by Hiram Billings and Mary Spratt due to the mother’s death. She married Charles Ansterburg in 1887. After Charles’s death she married Grant Plumb in 1932.
