Robert McCay, the well known farmer, died at 5 o'clock Saturday morning at the family residence, north of the Decatur Fishing club park. His age was seventy-six years, three months and twenty-one days. His death was due to a complication of diseases. He had been ill but a short time.
OLD RESIDENT.
Mr. McCay was one of the old residents of Macon county. He was born in Indiana, Feb. 8, 1839. He came to Macon county in 1864 and has ever since resided southwest of the city. In his younger days he was a great hunter and he used to keep a large pack of fox hounds. He was known to all the
old settlers and had many friends. He is survived by three children: Pharma McCay, (Ulysses)Scott McCay and Miss Nora (Helen Venora)McCay.
