Her husband, son of Allen H Brown Sr., of Mill Hall, PA, RD, was a teacher in Emporium Elementary Schools. He is a graduate of Lock Haven State College.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Emporium and a member of the Free Methodist Church.
Surviving, with her husband, were; two daughters, two sons and one granddaughter.

Born in Emporium May 23, 1919, she was the daughter of Bedford S. and Florence (Conway) Hathaway. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and was active in church organizations and in PTA work.
She was survived by her husband, John B. Brown, an instructor in the East Fourth Street Elementary School; a daughter, Sue Brown at home; three sons, John B. Brown Jr., attending school in New York, New York, David Brown, at school in Rochester, New York, and Jan Brown, at home; her mother of Emporium; a brother, Grant Hathaway of Cameron; two sisters, Mrs. Elona Smith of Rochester, N Y , and Nina Reed of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
