Willis Hoar died at the home of his mother, Hattie Hoar Pushard on Church Street in Richmond, Maine after a short illness of pneumonia. He was born in Strong, Maine April 24, 1882. He had lived in Richmond for the previous nine years and was employed as night watchman at the Richmond Spinning Mill. Previously he had worked as a night watchman for the Phillips & Rangeley narrow gauge railroad in Rangeley, Maine.
