Son of Colonel Anderson Barnhart and Mary Tennessee Orr
m: Hazel Trowbridge

Charles Minzo Emerson Barnhart was born near Meta, Maries County, Mo., August 22, 1900, and was called away to heaven January 12, 1927, at 4:20 p.m. to await the coming of his loved ones.

Deceased was 26 years, 4 months and 21 days old, at the time of his death. He was a very kind and patient sufferer, bearing his pain and suffering so well; always seemed pleasant when any one came in to see him.

He was married March 29th, 1924 to Miss Hazel Trowbridge, in Kansas City, Mo. They lived there until Jan. 1925, when they came to Henry county, living near Norris, excepting a few months in Garland until he became so ill he had to be taken to a hospital in Kansas City. There an operation was performed and as soon as he was able he was brought back to his father's where he was cared for until his death. Doctors pronounced his malady cancer of the stomach. In November , he was taken bedfast, and everything that friends and relatives could do for him was done, but the Lord knoweth best and took him home out of his suffering.

Their cup of happiness was completely filled when their little son, Windolf, came to live with them 19 months ago. He was the pleasure and delight of his daddy's heart. Such a cute little fellow, winning the love of every one who knows him. Charles was a kind husband, father, brother and friend. He gave his heart to God a few weeks previous to his death, and put all his trust in him.

Besides his wife and baby, he leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Barnhart; four brothers--Burkley of Dixon, Mo., Gus, Earnest and Tilden of Henry, county; four sisters--Mrs. Dora Rowden, of Kansas City; Mrs. Charles Prater, near Chilhowee, and Ruby at home.

Funeral services were conducted at Carrsville church and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery near by.
