Death of Mrs Stockum
Mrs Elizabeth Stockum, aged 77, wife of George W Stockum, died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs Ray Huffman in Zanesville, following a short illness. She was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Trottman of Coshocton County, and was born 12 March 1860.. Most of her life was spent in Muskingum County. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, George W Stockum; three sons, Emmett of New Concord, Fred of near Otsego and Clarence of Coshocton; five daughters, Mrs Blanche Huffman at whose home she died; Mrs Lillis Spring of near Otsego; Mrs Alta Floyd of Bridgeport; Mrs Ethel Jones and Mrs Carey Slater, both of New Concord; three brothers John Trottman of Coshocton, George Trottman of Osborn, Ohio and Jess Trottman of Ashland, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs Daisy Slater of this village, Mrs Louise Marquand of Otsego and Mrs Lucy Stemper of Canton; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church and burial was made in the church cemetery.
