Obituary, "Charlotte Observer," Charlotte, NC, 31 Oct 2009:

Gastonia - Mrs. Graham, 83, of Cramerton Road, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley surrounded by her loving family.

Affectionately known as 'Mama Doris,' she was born February 19, 1926, in Mooresville, NC, daughter of the late Marshall Thomas Robertson and the late Minnie Elizabeth Grigg Robertson Barnhill.

Mrs. Graham lived most of her life in Gaston County, where she was employed at Pharr Yarns, McAdenville, and at Graham's Fish Fry, Belmont. She was a former member of Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A thoughtful, caring, and generous lady, Mrs. Graham sincerely loved all her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Graham was predeceased by her husbands, Frank Isaac Stanford, in 1969, and Clifford Lee Graham, in 1988. She was also predeceased by her brother, Billy Lee Robertson, and her sister, Marlene R. Cabe.

She is survived by her 2 sons and their wives, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-granddaughters, 2 half-brothers and a half-sister, 2 step-children and their spouses, 9 step-grandchildren, 21 step-great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren... In addition, Mrs. Graham leaves behind a host of friends and relatives, including a special niece, and her family, several nephews and their families, 3 aunts and several cousins. Special pet, KoKo, also survives her faithful companion. The family will be at the home of her son and daughter-in-law on Lowell Bethesda Rd.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1st, at McLean Funeral Home, 700 S New Hope Rd. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 2nd, at Friendship Baptist Church, S New Hope Rd., Belmont, conducted by Rev. Lynwood Lavinder and Rev. Ben Robertson. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that memorials be made to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658, Cancer Services of Gaston Co., 246 E. Garrison Blvd. Gastonia, NC 28054, or Friendship Baptist Church, 5008 S. New Hope Rd., Belmont, NC 28012-8758.
