Donald W. Conway, age 69, of Farm Island Township, Aitkin passed away on Monday, August 5 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1927 in St. Paul to William and Violet (Gay) Conway. He attended schools in Slayton, MN and enlisted in the Navy during WWII. After the war he married Delores Olson on July 7, 1947 in Slayton. He worked most of his life as a molder of fiberglass. They retired to Farm Island Township in 1989. Mrs. Conway died in 1994. he is survived by 2 daughters: Carol Moline of Benson, MN and Paula Benson of Onamia; 4 sons; James of Cannon Falls, MN; Dave of Aitkin, John of Thief River Falls, MN, and Pat of Mpls, 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a brother Ronald of Slayton, MN. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in AItkin.
