May 25, 2001Leiva E. "Lea" Klaus, 76, of Yorkville died Monday, May 21, in her home. She was born in Ravenwood, Mo. She married Theodore Klaus in Knoxville, Iowa, in 1959, a union that lasted for 33 years until his death. For many years she was a Mary Kay Cosmetics representative in the area. She also was previously employed by the Valley Free Press in Somonauk. Survivors include two sons, Kurt and Warren; four daughters, Jean Luther, Linda Hektor, Carol Murray and Glenda Beringner; three brothers, Bernard, Gerald and Robert Eckstein; four sisters, Eva Fimple, Eileen Fisher, Emelia Myers and Clarice Holtman; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Cross Lutheran Church, Illinois Highway 47, Yorkville.
