David Ames, aged 81 years, a lifelong resident of Covington, died June 27 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Guy, at Blossburg, after an illness of several weeks. He was a member of the Covington Baptist church.
The funeral was held at Covington Wednesday, Rev. Owen C. Barrett, pastor of the Blossburg Methodist church, officiating; burial in Covington.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Guy, of Blossburg; Mrs. Eva Bowen, of Endicott; Mrs. Gladys Sherman, of Mansfield; Mrs. Agnes Overton, of Hornell; a son, Herbert, of Covington.
