Whitman - Clarence A. Wright, husband of Marion Wright of 10 Homestead road, Middleboro, a resident of this town for most of his life, died this morning in a Brockton Hospital after a long illness. He was in his 66th year. A native of this town, he made his home at 204 Warren Avenue, until removing to Middleboro approximately a year ago. He was the son of the late Alphonso and May (Sampson) Wright. Until his retirement a year ago, he had been employed for 35 years at the United Shank and Finding Co., for many years as foreman of the tool room. He was a member of First Baptist church and the Quarter-Century Club of the United Shoe Co.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include one son, Warren H. Wright of this town; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn M. Pitkanen of Whitman and Mrs. Virginia Berquist of East Bridgewater; one brother, Fred Wright of South Yarmouth; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Briggs of Braintree; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister Mrs. Alma Smith of this town died in December. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, 609 Washington street. Interment will follow in Colebrook Cemetery.
