Roy D. Durham
Roy D. Durham, 64, of 458 Kentucky Ave. died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 9, 1928, in Fountain Run, he was a son of the late V.R. and Alva Allen Durham. He worked at South Central Bell. He is a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and The Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by a son, James Durham.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Anne "Libby" Denton Durham; two sons, Roy Michael Durham of New Albany, Ind., and David Parker Durham of Somerset; a daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Mary Anne) Vanover of Danville; two sisters, Lois Ruffing of Danville, Pa., and Jean Eves of Winchester, Va.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Farmer.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mary Ann Vanover, 1136 Taylor Road, following the service.
Memorials are suggested to the Boyle County Emergency Medical Services.
