Catherine W. Criswell, 75, 562 S. Bluff St., Monticello, Ind., died Friday, March 11, 1994 at her residence.

Born Aug. 11, 1918, in Monon, Ind., she was the daughter of James and Mary (McCormick) Blackburn. She was married to Maurice D. Criswell, and he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1977.

She was reared in Monon and lived in Monticello most of her life. She was a 1936 graduate of Monon High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, both in Monticello.

She is survived by a son, Donel J. Criswell, Greensburg; a daughter, Doris A. Dooley, Plano, Texas; a brother John Blackburn, Francesville, Ind.; two sisters, Mary Goble, Monon, Ind., and Phyllis Briney, Logansport, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son and one brother.

The services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Monticello.

Burial will be in the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, 202 S. Illinois St., Monticello, 47960.

There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may go to the Riley Children's Hospital.
