She died 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at King;s Daughters Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Franklin County, she was born April 3, 1905, the daughter of the late Tobetha Allen Brumback and Benjamin F. Brumback. She was the widow of Melvin H. Owens, and was a member of the Peaks Mill Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Herbert Owens and Arthur Owens of Franklin County, and Melvin Owens Jr., of Stanford; one brother Emmitt Brumback, Anderson County, two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Brown and Mrs. Enolia Thomas, both of Franklin County and seven grandchildren.
