Mr. Ayers was born in Delaware, Ohio on December 14, 1949 to the late Carl and Dorothy (Tylor) Ayers. He married Cindy Lou Fry on July, 18, 1994 and she survives him.
He was employed by the Galion City Water Dept Treatment Plant where he retired after 16 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Ayers was a member of Amvets Post 1979. Jack enjoyed fishing and gardening with his granddaughters Grace and Bekah and he also enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his son, Jack C. (Christine) Ayers, London; stepsons, Nick and Ben Tefend; granddaughters, Grace and Rebekah Ayers; sisters, Alice Slack, Delaware, Margie Soderlund, San Diego, Judy (James) Edelblute, Hilliard, Susan (Mike) Alltop, Delaware; brother, George (Aretta) Ayers, Mansfield; aunt, Mary Mitchell, Newark; numerous nieces and nephews
