Morrisons Cove, PA "Morrisons Cove Herald" issue of Friday, 6 June 1902

Jacob Shoenfelt, a well known and highly respected citizen of the Cove, died Friday of last week at the home of his son-in-law, H.H. Hudson, after an illness of some months from dropsy. Mr. Shoenfelt spent the seventy-four years of his life in the Cove. Services were held at the home on Saturday by his pastor, Rev. Heffner, of the Reformed church. Interment in the Albright cemetery. He leaves to mourn him, an aged wife, six daughters: Mrs. Levi Croft, Mrs. H. Hudson and Mrs. Ess Hoover, of near Roaring Spring; Mrs. Harvey Smith, Mrs. Maggie Harpster and Mrs. Nicodemus, of Altoona, and a number of brothers and sisters among whom are George M., of Plum Creek; John, of Piney Creek; Joseph, of Altoona; Mrs. George Tipton, of near Martinsburg, and Mrs. J. Ritts, of Altoona.
