He leaves a son, John D. Marlowe Jr.; three daughters, Claire, Sharon and Patricia Marlowe, all of Worcester; a brother, Francis J. Marlowe Sr. of Millbury; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles B. and Jane A. (McCall) Marlowe.
Mr. Marlowe was a maintenance worker at University of Massachusetts Hospital for five years before he retired. He previously worked for many years at Crompton & Knowles Corp.
Mr. Marlowe donated his body to the University of Mass. Medical School for biomedical research. A private funeral was held and burial was two months later, on March 28th.
