Funeral service for Bonnie Ivy Lawson, 72, of Cushing will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with the Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Pirtle Cemetery near Cushing. Mrs. Lawson died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Nacogdoches. She was born August 11, 1937, in Nacogdoches County to Marvin Edward and Anola Odell Barnhart Ivy. She lived most of her life in Nacogdoches County and was a homemaker. She had worked at Nacogdoches Medical Center for 16 years. Bonnie was an avid supporter of Cushing Bearkat athletics. She was preceded in death by husband, Elbert Lawson; and brothers, Joe and Mott Ivy. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and James Morris of Cushing, Texas, Christi Lawson of Cushing, Texas, Rachael Cooke of North Carolina and Mary and Henry Poskey of Nacogdoches, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Becky Lawson of Porter, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Betty Ivy of New Summerfield, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Kyle Lawson and wife, Kassandra, Kayla Beck and husband, Jacob, Drake Morris, Ashley Ambrosio, Austin Ambrosio, Gauge Cooke, Bray Gehrels, Aaron Gehrels, Clay O'Hanlon, Carrie O'Hanlon and Mick O'Hanlon; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews. Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28., at the funeral home in Cushing. Dickie Allen Funeral Home Ð Cushing.
