MRS. D.M. BAKER DIES AT HOME, AT AGE OF 76 YEARS

Mrs. Sarah Asenath Baker, 76, died at her home at 1234 Pearl street this morning. The body has been removed to the Branstetter chapel, where funeral arrangements will be made later.

Mrs. Baker was born in Ohio, June 4, 1848. She was married to Daniel M. Baker of Ohio on June 24, 1868, and they moved from Ohio to Wisconsin. Later they went to Brooklyn, Iowa, living there for 40 years. It was in Iowa that the following children were born to them: Ira A. Baker, Walter G. Baker, Laurin W. Baker, Lloyd L. Baker and Pearl E. Baker.

They moved to Oregon in 1912, and she has lived since that time at her Pearl street home.

Mr. Baker is a veteran of the Civil war, and on June 24, 1918, he and Mrs. Baker celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the G.A.R. circle, and nearly a life long member of the First Christian church.
