Norman served in WW I, Ky Pvt Battery C 35th Field Artillery.

Norman remained at home on the farm and did not marry until after his mother died in 1952. He married Bessie on 27 Nov. 1953 in Stanford, KY.

Frances Williams Faw, niece of Norman, said Norman farmed with mules and never had a tractor. He grew sugar cane and the making of molasses was an annual event. A mule was used to power the sorghum mill.

Obituary: Norman Reynolds, 71, died 6 Oct. at Veterans Hospital, Louisville, following an illness of about two years. He was a resident of Waynesburg, KY, Route 2. Funeral sevices were held yesterday at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Roundtree officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery. He was a member of the Claude Smith Legion Post 291, Crab Orchard, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Reynolds, two sisters, Mrs. Osa Williams, Eubank, Mrs. Grace Abbott, Florence and four brothers, Gene Reynolds, Kings Mountain, Ella Reynolds, Eubank, Perry Reynolds, Amelia, OH and Freeman Reynolds, Moscow, OH.
