Mary Evaline was born September 25, near Shinnston, Harrison County, WV, a daughter of Harris and Mary J. (Matson) Drain. She married Asa B. Gallaher, 25 Nov 1905, in Moundsville at the Methodist Episcopal Church. They had nine children, and seven of them survived her:
(1) Archie Gallaher, of Lumberport
(2) Darrel and
(3) Ivan Gallaher both of Parkersburg
(4) Beno Gallaher, of Webster Spring
(5) Mrs. Beulah Tichenor, of Shinnston
(6) Mrs. Thelma Cawker and
(7) Mrs. Madeline Clutter, both of Webster Springs
At the time of her death, Mary was living in Parkersburg with Asa but visiting in Lumberport with her son, Archie, according to her obituary in the Shinnston (WV) News, 10 July 1941.
