He was born November 26, 1941, in Bass, Arkansas, the son of Lester and Maudie (Kent) McCutcheon.
Along with his parents, Mr. McCutcheon was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Nelson was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department where he was a surveyor.
Nelson Ray McCutcheon is survived by his loving wife of forty eight years, Trudy McCutcheon; his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Cynthia McCutcheon, of Greenwood, Arkansas; his daughter and son-in-law, Nita and Robert Morrow, of Bergman, Arkansas; and his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty McCutcheon, of Harrison. Nelson is also survived by five grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb McCutcheon of Greenwood, Jessica Roberts and her husband Charlie of Harrison, and Jamie and Jacob Morrow of Bergman; three great-grandchildren, Cole, Luke, and Ryan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends throughout the community.
Interement was in Maplewood Cemetery.
