FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Services for Lloyd A. Hess, 79, of Fort Collins were conducted Wednesday, March 28 at the Goodrich Mortuary in Fort Collins. Dr. Aubrey Young officiated.

Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery.

Mr. Hess died Saturday, March 24 at his home in Fort Collins.

Mr. Hess was born Aug. 18, 1904 in Glasford, Ill.

He married Ina Mae Hill in Denver on Oct. 12, 1935. She survives.

They moved to Fort Collins in 1970. Mr. Hess had lived in Perkin, Ill., for 37 years and Rock Springs, Wyo. for 29 years.

He attended Illinois Wesleyan University (1925-27), Bliss Electric School (1928-29), Colorado A & M and the University of Wyoming. Mr. Hess got a bachelor’s degree from Colorado A & M, a former name for Colorado State University, and a master’s degree from the University of Wyoming.

Mr. Hess was listed in “Who’s Who in the West” and was named an Outstanding Instructor in Wyoming. He worked for 28 year in Rock Springs.

He was a member of Collins Masonic Lodge No. 19 for 50 years; Royal Arch Masons; Cache la Poudre Chapter No. 11; Larimer County Council No. 21 Cryptic Masons; Demolay Commandery No. 13 Knights Templar, and was eminent commander; El Jebel Shrine, Rocky Mountain Consistory; 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; Past Worthy Patron of O.E.S.; Larimer County Shrine Club, of which he was president; Knights Templar Eye Foundation, of which he was a life sponsor; Elks National Foundation, of which he was a life sponsor; Elks No. 624 in Rock Springs, where he was exalted ruler; Elks Lodge No. 804 in Fort Collins; Galilee Shrine No. 13, order of White Shrine of Jerusalem; First United Presbyterian Church; Collins Chapter No. 26, O.E.S.; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 151 in Rock Springs.

His education honors include, Theta Chi Fraternity, Beta Rho, in Illinois; Iota Lambda Sigma Honorary Fraternity, Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Fraternity, and Phi Delta Kappa Honorary Fraternity.
