My sister and I share a birthday and every year when we were little, Uncle Bob would take us to be professionally photographed. I have inherited a lovely record of our childhood. Thank you, Uncle Bob. I know Mama appreciated it, too, because she didn't have the money for things like that.
He was the son of Peter Melhorn (1880-1960) and Emma Wyland Melhorn (1883-1946)and the grandson of Johnathan & Lydia Melhorn and Nicholas & Jane Wyland. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Andersen and son, Max Melhorn. Grandchildren Heidi, Rachel, Matthew, Joyce and Gayle. Great grandchildren Chelsea, Ryan, Nicole, Shannon, Nathan, Ariel, Tyler, Colin and Kiley. He is preceded in death by his wife Maxine Schulz Melhorn, brothers and sisters Olive O'Laughlin (1906-1996), Marie Melhorn (1907-2005), Ralph Melhorn(1909-1925), Hal Melhorn (1912-1987), Roena Battolla (1919-2004) and Kenneth Melhorn (1922-2005)and granddaughter Jan Christine Provost (Sept. 1963-Oct. 1963.) He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He is greatly loved and will be deeply missed, but we know he is in a better place and we will see him again, one day.
