Juanita L. Dinwiddie, age 90, Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Juanita was born September 8, 1919 in Joplin, daughter of the late Clarence Sylvester Couch and Edith Elizabeth Little Couch.
She attended Joplin Schools, and she was a seamstress with Miller's Manufacturing Company and Glenberry Manufacturing for several years.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and was an active member of the Church of God Holiness.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dinwiddie who died October 31, 1982, and a brother, four sisters, and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Dinwiddle, Jr. of Seneca, and Don Dinwiddie of Baxter Springs, Kansas; three daughters, Imogene Brady and Beth Lansaw Benfield both of Seneca, and Sharon Howard of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; a sister, Barbara Block of Little Rock, Arkansas; 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of God Holiness, 9th and Murphy Ave. in Joplin, followed by interment in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Rex Scoles officiating, and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Church of God Holiness, 901 Murphy Avenue, Joplin, MO 64801.
