Passed away on August 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in July 1997. Evie is survived by her sister, Emily Devine; sons Michael and John: and grandchrildren; Shannon and Brian Burns and Stephanie.
Evie was a MCWR { Woman Marine) in WWII, Stationed in San Diego, California where she met and married her husband Bill in 1945. They were married for 52 years. She also served two terms as National Secretary of the Woman Marines Association in 1984-1988 and was a member of the Evergreen State Chapter.
A Rosary will be said at 7 pm: witht a Funeral Mass the following day, Aug 13th at 10:00 am Thursday all at St. Pius X Church, where she was able to spend her final night above the earth, in God's house, where all of God's friends and Mother, Father and Saints were able to welcome her into the house of God. 22209-58th Mountlake, Terrace, Washington. Reception will be be right after Mass to share memories.
Interment will follow at Holyrood Catholic Cemetary in Shorline, with full Military Honors, including flag
