Candy Rosheen Simons Phillips - BLUFF CITY

Candy Rosheen Simons Phillips, age 32, of Bluff City, TN, was carried very sweetly, softly and gently by angels into paradise on October 24, 2009, at 5:32 p.m.

She was a faithful member of Stoney Creek Church of Christ. She loved children and taught them the precious Word of God. Her good Christian influence reached many. She will live forever in Glory and in our hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy H. Phillips, her mother and father, Elva and Wesley Simons, her sister, Karen and husband, Travis Blevins, her niece, Brandi Blevins, her maternal grandmother, Gladys Cook, her paternal grandmother, Billie and husband, Roy McGraw, her mother-in-law, Margaret Phillips, Eddy and Betty Craft and family, all her uncles, nieces, nephews and her seven cats, Gracie, Butterball, Buttercup, Poot, Bubbles, Mittens and Molly that she loved so dearly. Also a host of friends and loved ones survive.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The funeral service will be conducted by Bill Haywood, Milton Mathers, Tim Phillips and Wesley Simons all of whom are preachers for the Lord's church. There will be congregational singing lead by Tommy Johnson, Minister of the Mountain City Church of Christ. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service or at other times at the residence of her parents, Elva and Wesley Simons. Interment will follow in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Danny Phillips, Adam Carlson, Anthony Mertz, James Turner, Michael Manuel and Brian Craft. Honorary pallbearers will be all the members of the Stoney Creek Church of Christ.

We want to thank the doctors and nurses of the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. We want to give a super thanks to all the members of the various congregations of the Church of Christ for all they have done. We could not have made it without you.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Candy Phillips Scholarship Fund, c/o of Tri-Cities School of Preaching, 1162 Hwy 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643, for the training of gospel preachers.
