He was a son to John A. and Margaret (Schmitt) Bowman. On Nov 4, 1941, he married Florence Ferrari, who preceded him in death April 30, 1951. He married Bertha Jacobs on Oct 9, 1954, and she survived him.
Also surviving are a son, Dr. Michael Bowman, Madison, WI; two daughters, Angela Torres, Yucca Valley, CA, and Suzanne Schidler, Monterey, CA; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Maddeline Bowman Smith; four brothers; and one sister.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception church and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Army. He was a retired baker having worked at several places including Pantry Pride.
Services were at the church with the Rev., Richard Riedel officiating.
