Services for Cecelia L. Abel, of Brookhaven, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Union Church Cemetery in Union Church.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Abel, 97, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Brook Manor Nursing Center. She was born on March 31, 1910, to Nicholas Loftus and Edna Brigger (sic Brieger).
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Community Methodist Church in Fayette.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, the Rev. Ferrell Abel.
Survivors are her sons, Ferrell Nick Abel, of Fayette, and Robert L. Abel, of Pascagoula; her daughter, Brynda Moore and husband David, of McCall Creek; her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.
