Mr. Redding, born June 22, 1905 in Newaygo, Michigan, was the son of Andrew Jackson Redding and Cora Belle McGhan, and one of nine children. His wives were Lorene McMahon (married 1923-1943), Reva Retha Letts (married 1944-1947), and Betty Lee Cable Samuel (married 1948-1958). He was the father of the late Verone Redding Hill (mother - Lorene; Verone's Find A Grave Memorial # 11069011 ), the late Nathan James (AKA Jim/Jimmy) Redding (mother-Reva), Linda Lee Redding Probst Brandon, Lyda Lynn Redding Mannone and Deborah Ann Redding Daugherty Smith (all three daughters - mother - Betty Lee). He and second wife Reva also had a son named Richard Ray Redding, who died at birth in May 1944. Mr. Redding was an excellent auto mechanic who sadly passed away from an auto accident on Nov. 18, 1958 because of bad weather conditions . He enjoyed restoring cars. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, a gun enthusiast, and an outstanding marksman. He was also known for skills as a Golden Gloves boxer. He loved to show his children how to shoot and teach them about cars. He loved big family get-togethers, picnics and cookouts on the beach. He owned his own garage and service station along with several apartmènt buildings in Muskegon, Michigan.
