Charles was the son of Charles Bacon and Elizabeth Meunier (Monnier) Bacon.

His spouse was Marie Kiel Bacon.

Charles L Bacon, 80, of 219 Lincoln Highway East, New Haven, died at 1:30 pm yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted only minutes before. He had been ill since Saturday.

A native of Jefferson Township, he moved to New Haven 14 years ago from Fort Wayne, where he had resided many years. He retired in 1950 from International Harvester Co after 2 years of service. He was a member of St John's Catholic Church, New Haven and its Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; three brothers, William, Angola; Joseph, Fort Wayne, and Cletus, Payne, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs Nora Pranger, Fort Wayne, and Mrs William Spieth, Monroeville and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 8:30 am Friday at E Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven and at 9 in St John's Church, Rev William J Ehrman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm Wednesday. The Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary there at 8 pm Thursday. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - October 31, 1961
