McFarland - Mabel A. Dreger, age 78, of 3390 Peterson Road, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 1979 at Verona, Wisconsin. She was employed as a cook for many years at Simon's Log Cabin and Reime's Restaurant. She was a member of the McFarland American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are five daughters, Miss Evelyn Westphal, McFarland, Mrs. Norman (Donna) Smith, Verona, Mrs. Lois Egner, McFarland, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Johnson, Madison, Mrs. Gerald (Esther) Siebert, Montello; two sons, Delmer and Robert Westphal, both of McFarland; 25 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Leona Pire, Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Dreger and a son, Orville, of Eau Claire. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 11 a.m. in the McFarland funeral home. Reverend Thomas Smrcka will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9. Memorials may be to the Cancer of Heart Fund.
