Married to John Rice Sr. in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia; daughter of James Finney and Elizabeth Turner.

Mary is credited with bearing children through her 59th birthday, although this is highly unlikely from a purely biological standpoint. One researcher's database on rootsweb.com credits her with giving birth to William Rice II as well as Thomas Rice III all the while listing John as her husband! I am nonetheless forced to allow the record to stand until I am able to sort it out.
