Mae Barnett Hughes, 97, passed away peacefully into the hands of her Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2013.
A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Victory Griffith Barnett and the wife of the late Dewey Hughes, who passed away in 1987. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, a son, one brother, 11 grandchildren, including one special grandson, 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial followed in White Pine Cemetery on Byrd Creek Road.
