Howard Franklin Vannatter, 83, of Porter, Texas, formerly of Leet, died Wednesday at home.
He was born Aug 26, 1899, at Leet, a son of the late Thomas and Viola Ferrell Vannatter.
Mr. Vannatter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Ester Nelson Vannatter of Porter, Texas; five daughters, Ruth Lambert of Henlawson, Phyllis Horne of Waynesville, N.C., Mary Butler, Barbara Burnwright and Sedra Acosta, all of Houston, Texas; six sons, Clarence of Wharncliffe, Gene of Hampden, Loma of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz., Harry of Palestine, Texas, and Maxwell of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Hester Hill of Leet, and Minerva Stowers of Big Creek; 60 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the residence of Sonia Woodrum at Leet with Elder Robert Ferrell. Burial will follow in Vannatter-Ferrell Cemetery at Leet.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. tomorrow at the residence.
Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
