Mr. Damon was closely indentified with the economic and industrial interests of his adopted State of Illinois. His choice of business lay in the improvement and exploitation of farm lands, and the handling of livestock.
After many years in Illinois, he transferred his interests to the Dakotas and Iowa. Since the death of his wife in 1902, he has made his home with a brother, O.H. Damon of Gibson City. Preceded in death by his wife and two daughters, Eva C. and Etta L. Damon. Only surviving member of his family is a granddaughter, Margaret Manderson of Panora, Iowa; two brothers, O.H. of Gibson City, Albert of Pacific Beach, WA, and a sister, Mrs. E.B. (Emma) Estee of Gibson City. b. 9-22-1833 Syndon, VT.
