Bruce was an Army veteran of World War II and was employed for over 25 years by the A&P store in Tunkhannock, serving as meat manager. After his retirement, he became a clock builder and repair man. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Mehoopany Baptist Church and the Temple Lodge #248 F & AM of Tunkhannock.
Julia and he were married for 57 years.
Funeral services were held at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Ralph Nevin, pastor of Mehoopany Baptist Church presiding.
At the time of his death, he had 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorials were made to the FWM Ambulance Association, Mehoopany, Pa.
