Former Verona Clerk Elmer Dreger Dies

Elmer F. Dreger, 70, of 4425 Rolla Lane, former clerk of the Town of Verona, died unexpectedly Tuesday (May 18, 1971) in a Madison hospital.

Born in Verona, he was a Madison resident since 1948. He served as clerk of Verona for 15 years, and was an accountant at the Dane County Hospital and Home, Verona. He was married Oct 2, 1948 to Grace Salchert and was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Fassbind, Sr. and Mrs. Fred Vormwald both of Verona.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church. Friends may call from 4 p.m. Thursday until time of services at the Frautschi Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m.
